The company’s model is to supply good people for as cheap as possible and market it as a solution to provider burnout. They then exploit those good people into pushing themselves beyond burnout for a pay rate that would make anyone laugh. I have worked for ScribeAmerica for 4+ years and I can tell you for certain that their business model relies on good, hardworking people who are willing to go the extra mile to impress their providers to get a good letter of recommendation to medical school. I have not working for proscribe so I cannot speak to that. Hiya- current Chief Scribe of an ED here. i have also finished my onboarding (scribe university, drug test, hiring paperwork) and am waiting for hr to process my paperwork to be able to start working on the floor! my training pay is $11/hour and after the 90-day probation, it's supposed to raise to $12. Update on october 20, 2022: i ended up going with scribe america (start date was july 25, 2022) since it felt more welcoming and poc inclusive plus i saw this post and was not going to take any chances with proscribe. I haven't heard much about proscribe's response time but i do remember that scribeamerica would take months? glad i didn't have to wait that long tho Personally, idk if its just a coincidence that scribeamerica sent me a follow-up email the same day that i applied to proscribe but i'll take my chances it was more of an onboarding meeting + prior to the meeting they did send me an email containing a digital information packet she asked a few introduction questions ("what traits do you think a scribe should have?") and asked for my wpm, availability, and area in order to place me at a close location.
